To ensure you have satisfied customers, invest in your staff and train them as a happy customer is a returning one.This was the main theme as one of the country’s real estate company hosted their staff to dinner and entertainment at the Tanoa International Hotel over the weekend.

 

Bayshore Real Estate is one of the 74 Licensed Real Estate Agents in Fiji and has over 20 employees or salespersons who add to the overall 212 sales agents in the country.

 

Chief Guest and Acting CEO for the Real Estate Agents Licensing Board, Virisila Tuimanu says it is a very special event this is a first for real estate companies to show appreciation for their workers in such a manner by hosting an Awards night. She also stressed upon the important role that real estate agents and salesperson play.

 

“ The Fijian Government has set aside $15 million towards the First Homeowners Grant and for the First Home Owners Buyers Grant. First time buyers with an annual income under $50, 000 will receive $15, 000 towards the construction of their house or $10, 000 and if they purchase their first homes, they are eligible for $10, 000. Your role is indeed important as you will meet people seeking your advice in the purchase or the sale of their homes. The industry will find itself in a rapid economic and social change and this places a huge responsibility on all of you”

 

Managing Director, Mr. Arif Khan in addressing guests spoke of how the company started over 2 years ago with only one salesperson and now has a 20 plus team. He also spoke of how they are looking at expanding.

 

“Over two years ago, my family and i came down from California and with my knowledge of real estate having spent years in the industry back in the US, i wanted to come and do something for Fiji. I started in Lautoka and my first salesperson was Mildred Wade. We worked slowly and stuck to our principle of ensuring that the customer is satisfied. We were then approached to open up in Nadi, then Suva and now we have been asked to consider Vanua Levu.”

 

 

The salespersons who bagged the main awards are as follows:

  • Top Real Estate Sales Agent - Pita Whippy

  • Top Leasing Agent - Mildred Wade

  • Top Overall sales agent - William Miller

  • Administrator of the year - Titilia Moudoro

 

Bayshore Real Estate was set up in the country in 2016 and was started by Mr. Arif Khan. Mr. Khan was a real estate broker in California for 15 years  and during the course of his career he has closed over $200 million worth of transaction for both residential and commercial real estate. They have branch offices in Nadi and in Lautoka with the aim to open up in Vanua Levu as well.
