Real estate companies should handle clients with professionalism, says Vyas Deo Sharma.
The Fiji Real Estate Association president made this statement during its meeting at Paradise Realtors (Fiji) Limited in Nadi.
The meeting also heard that certain real estate agents weren’t abiding by rules of the association. Mr Sharma said that the association wouldn’t entertain real estate agents that are involved in any sort of dirty dealings.
“We will not let our members do wrong things and we end up misleading the people,” Mr Sharma said. There are 73 real estate companies around the country. However only 23 are members of the association.
Association General Secretary, Anand Goundar said they have received complaints that there were real estate agents conducting illegal dealings. He added that they are currently working on a code of ethics for the members to follow.
