Fourteen real estate agents have had their licenses cancelled by the Real Estate Agents Licensing Board.

A public notice by REALB confirmed that the following agent licenses had been cancelled: Kamlesh Travel & Real Estate Ltd, Olosega Rental Ltd, Sweet Homes Property Solutions, Property Choice, Rang’s Active Real Estate, Evergreen Pacific Properties Ltd, Real Estate & Property Management Ltd, Nikshan’s Real Estate, Landmark Investment, Masum Realty & Property Management Ltd, Datt Holdings Ltd (trading as Coronis), The Stallion Realtors Ltd, Ghagon Real Estate Ltd and Gecko Realtors Ltd.

REALB said the cancellations were pursuant to Section 8 of the Real Estate Agents Act 2006.

The Board’s monitoring efforts have been recently strengthened by an MOU with the Fiji Revenue & Customs Authority (FRCA), whom it will exchange industry data and information with.

Speaking at the signing, REALB Registrar and Acting CEO, Virisila Tuimanu noted that challenges affecting both agencies included offshore property sales and the undervaluation of properties.

She said each party would pursue significant activities such as the exchange of information relating to real estate dealing and the tax obligations of real estate agents, often an area of concern.
