Home to Fiji’s main international airport, Nadi is often the first place visited by foreigners. Nadi is Fiji's ultimate tourist town and is on the verge of expanding its municipal boundaries to reach city status, and its quirky mix of upmarket resort living, farming communities and residential suburbs give way to varying ranges of apartments, which are commonly referred to as flats here.

Major apartment buildings put on the market include conveniently located bed and breakfast properties near the Nadi Airport and other executive apartment blocks in the heart of Martintar, the town’s nightlife and cuisine strip.

Votualevu is Nadi’s largest residential spread and consists of several further communities (Savunawai Stage 1 and 2, Matavolivoli, Malawai, Kartaram, Low Cost and Ridgeview Estate), for which almost all dwellings are partitioned into separate apartments. The area includes executive holiday homes and a gated community.

Namaka, Nadi Town’s CBD and Megunyeh (along Nadi’s back road) and Navo and Qeleloa (on the town’s outskirts) also prominently feature apartments. Denarau Island pioneered strata title developments in Fiji and the Sheraton Villas and other hotel apartments (such as at the Hilton Fiji) continue to be popular investments for the island’s floral surroundings, plush recreations and upmarket, retail marina.

Nadi is truly a melting pot of apartment varieties, with some dual apartments on Crown land selling for $250,000 and higher-market ones reaching into the millions.And given its impending city status and municipal expansion, clever investors have quickly snapped up whatever vacant lot is availed on the city’s outskirts for the construction of apartment buildings that will cater to a quickly growing population.
