Fiji’s Northern region covers Vanua Levu- the country’s second largest island- and the surrounding islands of Taveuni, Qamea, Matagi, Laucala, Mali, Kioa, Rabi and other smaller islets.

Less than 10 per cent of Fiji’s total landmass is Freehold (the rest being either Native or Crown leases), and the largest percentage of these Freehold titles are on Vanua Levu.

Many Taveuni properties retain oceanic proximity, open-plan living with hardwood interiors and high ceilings with electricity and water supply, and sell for an average of USD $555,000, with some dropping to as low as USD $200,000 on Freehold titles.

The vicinity of Nabouwalu lays between Savusavu and Labasa on the Hibiscus Highway, the main road route of Vanua Levu, and plans are underway by the Fijian Government to declare it a town. Once incepted as a township, homes in the area are expected to fall under municipal boundaries be part of Bua Province’s growing developments.
